EPSRC National Service for Computational Chemistry Software

NSCCS is the EPSRC National Service for Computational Chemistry Software. The first EPSRC funded Computational Chemistry facility was established in January 1997. The aim of the facility was to provide UK academics working across all fields of Chemistry with access to computational chemistry software packages, hardware resources and specialist consultation. In November 2001, the facility become part of the family of EPSRC National Services (EPSRC National Service for Computational Chemistry Software or NSCCS) and the training programme was introduced shortly afterwards. The grant is currently administered by Imperial College London. The management of the Service is overseen by a Management Committee chaired by the Principal Investigator, Professor John Dyke, and is advised by the UK Computational Chemistry Working Party.

The Service's database of users consists of experimentalists who use calculations to complement their practical research, and computational chemists who take advantage of the extensive range of software available.
